Durga Nuur

 

(Durge Nuur), a lake in the Great Lakes Depression in western Mongolia. It measures 24 km long and has a maximum width of 18 km and an area of approximately 300 sq km. The lake is located in a desert region at an elevation of approximately 1,100 m and receives water flowing out of Lake Khara Nuur. Durga Nuur has no outlet; the water is salty (4 gll). There are barchans and solonchaks along its shores.
