Synonym(s): median retruded relation, median relationcen·tric jaw re·la·tion (sentrik jaw rĕ-lāshŭn) Position of the mandible with respect to the maxilla where the condyles articulate with the thinnest portion of the disc and are positioned in the most anterosuperior part of the temporal fossa. This position is typically used as a reproducible jaw position by the clinician when such a position cannot be determined by the intercuspation of teeth.
