 [do´nath land´sti-ner] a test for paroxysmal hemoglobinuria based on the fact that the blood of patients with this disease contains isohemolysin and autohemolysin that unites with erythrocytes only at low temperatures (2° to 10°C), hemolysis occurring only after warming with the complement to 37°C.
