Location:3 miles west of Flagler Beach off County Road 2001 (Old King's Road), between SR 100 and Old Dixie Highway.
Facilities:Picnic area, screened pavilion, restrooms, nature trails, canoerentals, boat ramp (boats more than 16 feet not recommended on BulowCreek), interpretive center.
Activities:Canoeing/kayaking, fishing, picnicking, hiking.
Special Features:Once the site of the Bulow family's plantation of sugar cane, cotton, rice,and indigo, the Bulow Plantation was destroyed in 1836 during theSecond Seminole War. Ruins of the former plantation include a sugarmill, spring house, several wells, and the crumbling foundations of theplantation house and slave cabins. A scenic walking trail leadsvisitors to the ruins of the sugar mill, and an interpretive centertells the plantation's history.
