BullaceBullace(Primus institia), a plant of the family Rosaceae. The bullace morphologically resembles the common, or European, plum (P. domestica). The single-stoned drupe is small and most often dark blue; it may be eaten raw or in processed form. The bullace is propagated by seeds, suckers, and green cuttings; the plants are used as stock. Winter-hardy forms are cultivated under continental conditions in the Volga region, in the northern parts of the European USSR, and on the Scandinavian Peninsula. bullace
