Building Limit Line
Building Limit Line
(Russian, krasnaia liniia, “red line”), a term used in city planning to designate the conventional boundaries separating the areas of main transportation routes, streets, vehicle passages, and squares from the territory designated for building. Building limit lines are laid out to ensure city planning discipline in building and rebuilding cities.
Buildings may be built either on the building limit lines or set back from them, according to the construction plans.
