External Trade Act of 1987 External Trade Act of 1987Legislation in South Korea that significantly liberalized its international trade policies. For most of the postwar period, South Korea severely restricted imports of finished products so it could develop its own industry. As a result of the Act, South Korea began to permit more imports and to promote policies closer to free trade. Agriculture, however, has remained largely restricted. |
