Bucharest Peace Treaty of 1913
Bucharest Peace Treaty of 1913
the treaty that concluded the second Balkan War. It was signed on August 10 in Bucharest by Bulgaria on one side and Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, and Rumania on the other. Bulgaria was forced to cede southern Dobruja to Rumania, the southern part of Macedonia including the Aegean seaports of Salonika and Kaválla and part of western Thrace to Greece, and virtually all of northern Macedonia to Serbia. The treaty was annulled with Bulgaria’s entry into World War I in October 1915 on the side of the German bloc.
