Archeda

a river in Volgograd Oblast, RSFSR; left tributary of the Medveditsa (Don basin). Length, 167 km; basin area, 2,050 sq km. Flows along the southwestern edge of the Volga elevation. It is fed primarily by snow. The modulus of discharge is about 1 liter/(sec-km²). The river runs dry in its middle course. The city of Frolovo is located on the Archeda.
