Edintsy

a city (until 1962, an urban-type settlement), center of Edintsy Raion, Moldavian SSR. Population, 12,600 (1970).

Edintsy is located 17 km from the Rediu-Mare railroad station (on the Bel’tsy-Oknitsa line). It has a cannery, a winery, a creamery, and a woodworking-tools plant. There is a poultry center, a shell-rock mine, and a small-scale industries and services combine.
