Decimeter Waves

radio waves with a wavelength from 10 cm to 1 m, used in radio relay systems and radar.

Decimeter waves undergo little absorption on passing through the atmosphere; they are used therefore for communication with objects in space. Decimeter waves propagated because of scattering by tropospheric irregularities are used for communications on earth.
