释义 | Binns, Charles FergusBinns, Charles Fergus(1857–1934) ceramist; born in Worcester, England. After founding a ceramics laboratory at the Royal Worcester porcelain works, he emigrated to Trenton, N.J. (1897), to head a technical school. In 1900 he became first director of what later became the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Known for his exquisitely glazed stonewares, he was influential as an educator of leading ceramics teachers. |
