Dugna

an urban-type settlement in Ferzikovo Raion, Kaluga Oblast, RSFSR, located on the Dugna River, a tributary of the Oka. Dugna is connected by bus with the Ferzikovo railroad station, 18 km distant on the Kaluga-Tula line. Dugna came into being in 1709 with the construction of a cast iron foundary; blast furnace production continued up to the beginning of the 20th century. The foundary has been reequipped and produces mainly agricultural machinery parts and sanitary-engineering equipment.
