1960–, American football player, b. Port Angeles, Wash. An All-American quarterback at Stanford, he played his entire National Football League career (1983–99) with the Denver Broncos, whom he led to five Super Bowls, winning the last two (1998–99). An effective runner as well as a prolific passer, he was famous for leading come-from-behind drives and set the record for wins as a starter (now surpassed).
