释义 | Cline, Howard FrancisCline, Howard Francis(1915–71) historian; born in Detroit, Mich. Harvard-trained, he directed the Hispanic Foundation at the Library of Congress (1952–71). A pioneer ethnohistorian, he studied social and ethnic history, particularly of Mexico, the subject of two of his major works: The United States and Mexico (1953, later revised), a standard history, and Mexico: Evolution to Revolution (1962). |
