Location:Near Saltville, off I-81, in the southwest highlands.
Facilities:Primitive campsites, hiking trails, 2 boat launches, archery shooting range.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting.
Special Features:Area is dominated by mountains rising steeply from narrow valley floors. Due to difference in elevation, ranging from 1,600 feet to 4,700 feet on top of Beartown Mountain, a unique forest has developed: tree species from both southern and northern forests are found.
