Cleveland, Frances (b. Folsom)

(1864–1947) First Lady; born in Buffalo, N.Y. One of the youngest and most admired of all first ladies, she married Grover Cleveland in the White House in 1886; she was 21 and he was 49. She held numerous public receptions and her hairstyle and clothing were widely imitated. She married again after Cleveland's death and was active in poor relief during the 1930s Depression.
