Location:Southwest of Fort Worth, in north central Texas.
Facilities:Campsites with full hookups, campsites with water and electricity hookups, group camp, showers, restrooms, day-use group facility, picnic areas, screened shelters, hiking trail, nature trail, boat ramp, amphitheater, playground.
Activities:Camping, boating (5 mph speed limit), canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking.
Special Features:Park was developed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, who built a small earthen dam to impound the park's 116-acre lake with a masonry, three-level spillway. They then cleared a three-mile-long scenic roadway around the lake.
