Brody

a city; administrative center of Brody Raion, L’vov Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Railroad station; junction of highways to Rovno, Ternopol’, and L’vov. Population, 13,600 (1968). Brody has a garment factory, a creamery, and a cannery. There is a teachers college. Brody was first mentioned in a chronicle in the 12th century.
