释义 | Crossley, Archibald M.Crossley, Archibald M. (Maddock)(1896–1985) public opinion analyst; born in Fieldsboro, N.J. With Elmo Roper and George Gallup, in the 1920s he pioneered scientific polling techniques using statistically representative population samples. He founded the New York market research firm Crossley, Inc. (later Crossley Surveys) in 1926, retiring in 1962. He was the first to measure radio audiences (1929) and was until 1952 a prominent presidential election pollster. |
