British West Indian Dollar British West Indian DollarThe former currency of British Guiana and some small states in the Eastern Caribbean. It was first issued in 1935 and was pegged to the British pound. Starting in the 1950s, states began withdrawing from the currency union and the British West Indian Dollar was replaced by the East Caribbean dollar in 1965. |
