CCL28 A gene on chromosome 5p12 that encodes a CC-type cytokine, which is characterised by two adjacent cysteines and, as with all cytokines, is involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. CCL28 binds CCR3 and CCR10, and is chemotactic for resting CD4 or CD8 T cells and eosinophils; it may play a role in the physiology of extracutaneous epithelia, including mucosal tissues. |
