These unhardy, showy-flowered annuals, primarily C. unguiculata, C. elegans, and C. pulchella, are used as ornamentals. Many forms and varieties of Clarkia are known; they have either single or double flowers and are distinguished by their color (white, pink, lilac, or red-purple) and height. |
