释义 | Clark, GrenvilleClark, Grenville(1882–1967) lawyer, peace advocate; born in New York City. He practiced law in New York and was a founder of the Military Training Camps Association during World War I. In 1940 he helped to draw up the Selective Service Act in anticipation of America's involvement in World War II. He believed in limitations on national sovereignty and he wrote A Federation of Free Peoples (1939). With Louis B. Sohn, he coauthored World Peace Through World Law: Two Alternative Plans (1958). He continued to work to advance civil rights. |
