(bē`kər), in the Bible. 1 Son of Benjamin. In First Chronicles "his first-born" should perhaps be read "Becher"; cf. BocheruBocheru, in the Bible, descendant of Saul. Perhaps the name should be translated "first-born"; see Becher (1.)

, in the Bible, father of Sheba (3,) but "son of Bichri" may stand for "descendants of Becher" (see Becher (1)). The "Berites," supporters of Sheba, are apparently to be understood as "Bichrites."
