critical ratio

An index used to determine how much a task is on schedule. A value of 1.0 is "on schedule." A value less than 1.0 is behind, and larger than 1.0 is ahead of schedule. The critical ratio is derived by dividing the time to scheduled completion by the time expected to finish it.
