Ciénaga

a city in northern Colombia, in the department of Magdalena. Population, 69,100 (1972). Ciénaga, a port on the Caribbean Sea, exports bananas. It is the trade center of an agricultural region that produces bananas, cotton, tobacco, and cacao. Local industry includes the processing of agricultural raw materials and fishing.
