Crimmitschau

a city in the German Democratic Republic, on the Pleisse River (Elbe basin), in the Karl-Marx-Stadt district. Population, 30,200 (1970). Crimmitschau is an old industrial center for textile manufacture; musical instruments are also produced. The city has a printing industry.
