Eurospace
Eurospace
an association formed in September 1961 by industrial enterprises of 12 European countries in an effort to facilitate the development of space technology and astronautics. The USSR is not part of the organization.
Eurospace has about 150 members; these include all the aircraft firms, as well as firms in such areas as electronics, chemicals, and precision mechanics. The basic task of Eurospace is to submit concrete proposals bearing on space exploration to European countries and organizations. In particular, it is involved with the launching of artificial earth satellites for radio and television communications.
