Flax-Drying Unit
Flax-Drying Unit
set of equipment for drying flax stalks by the active ventilation method using heated air. It can also be used for drying the seeds of cereal and leguminous crops, sun-flower, bulk clover, and the like. The flax-drying unit has an air heater, air distribution systems, a cooling ventilator, and an air distribution box. Each air distribution system consists of a main duct and lateral perforated pipes connected to it and along which the air passes under the threshed heap. The air distribution box serves to distribute the heated air (or atmospheric air from the cooling ventilator) among the air distribution systems. The productivity of the flax-drying unit is 8.7 tons of flax stalks per hour. It is operated by two workers.
