Elektrosviaz

(Electrical Communication), a monthly scientific and technical journal published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR and the A. S. Popov Scientific and Technical Society of Radio Engineering, Electronics, and Communications. Founded in Moscow in 1933, the journal until 1938 appeared under the title Nauchno-tekhnicheskii sbornik po elektrosviazi (Scientific and Technical Collection on Electrical Communication).

The principal areas dealt with in the journal are radio communication, telephony, telegraphy, facsimile, data transmission, television, radio broadcasting, wired broadcasting, multichannel communication, automatic switching, and communication-system apparatus and equipment. The journal also deals with aspects of the theory of the propagation of electromagnetic oscillations, circuit theory, and information theory. Circulation, 10,000 (1978).
