Dry-curing Machine

Dry-curing Machine

a machine for dry-curing and predrying green tea leaves (their moisture content is reduced from 75–78 percent to 61–62 percent). A continuous-operation dry-curing machine consists of an enclosed metal chamber housing several horizontal apron conveyors placed one above the other. As the conveyors move, the tea leaves are sifted from the top downward. Air warmed to 45°-48°C is fed from below the conveyors and passes through the tea leaves, drying them. The output of dry-curing machines is 600–800 kg per hour.
