Location:6 miles south of Fairfax off State Highway 4.
Facilities:31 drive-in campsites (15 with electrical hookups), showers (é),flush toilets (é), 3 walk-in campsites, 20 horsemen's campsites,group camp, picnic area, picnic shelters (é), playground, volleyballcourt, horseshoe pits, hiking trails (11 miles), paved bike trail (0.5miles), horse trails (10 miles), ski trails (5 miles), snowmobiletrails (8 miles), warming house, 9-hole golf course, historic site,interpretive exhibits, visitor center, gift shop.

Special Features:This historic fort and outpost, built in 1855 and manned until 1872,played a role in the US-Dakota Conflict of 1862, a major event in thestate's history. An old farmhouse at the park has recently beenrenovated and is now available as a rental cabin.
