Special Features:Reservation is located minutes from downtown New Bedford and includes ahalf-mile of Buzzard Bay beachfront. The reservation is named for FortPhoenix, a national landmark adjacent to the park that is managed bythe Town of Fairhaven. From the fort's remnant ramparts, visitors canview the bay where the first naval battle of the Revolutionary War wasfought.
