Drug Treatment and Testing Order A court order (Scotland) aimed at helping drug offenders reduce their drug use and related offending.
DTTO success
Reduced re-offense, sustained reduction in illicit drug use and risk-taking in their drug use; 80% of those on DTTOs have improved physical health; 70% had sustained improvements in their relationships with partners and families.
DTTO offenders must agree to:
• Accept treatment for drug misuse;
• Undergo frequent and random drug testing;
• Attend court on at least a monthly basis so that the Sheriff can review progress;
