electron spin echo envelope modulation
electron spin echo envelope modulation[i‚lek‚trän ¦spin ‚ek·ō ¦en·və‚lōp ‚mäj·ə′lā·shən] (spectroscopy) The variation in the intensity of an electron spin echo as the time interval between the two microwave pulses producing the echo is incremented in small steps in the case of a two-pulse echo, or time intervals between suitable pulses are incremented for multiple-pulse echoes. A type of electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy in which this variation is mathematically transformed, using the Fourier transform, to yield the spectrum of nuclear frequencies.
