Cinnamomum
Cinnamomum a genus of trees and bushes of the family Lauraceae. There are more than 250 species, distributed primarily in tropical and subtropical Asia; species are also found in Australia and on the Fiji Islands. Many species provide valuable wood, medicinal substances, cinnamon bark, essential and fatty oils, and other food or industrial raw materials. The best-known species are the cinnamon trees and the camphor tree (C. camphord).
