Divichi

a city (a settlement until 1961) in the Azerbaijan SSR; administrative center of the Divichi Raion. Located in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus, on the Samur-Apsheronsk Canal. Railroad station on the Baku-Makhachkala line. Population, 13,000 (1970). Divichi is situated 120 km northwest of Baku and has railroad transportation enterprises, a carpet factory, a dairy, and a crushed-stone plant.
