Ciechanów Województwo

an administrative and territorial unit in northern Poland. Formed in 1975. Area, 6,400 sq km. Population, 399,000 (1976), of which 28 percent is urban. The capital of Ciechanów Województwo is Ciechanów. The województwo is primarily an agricultural region; dairy cattle and swine are raised, and rye, potatoes, and sugar beets are grown. Industry includes food processing and metalworking.
