Development of Plants
Development of Plants
In cultivated plants there are phases of development that reflect the morphological manifestations of the stages of ontogeny connected with the formation of certain organs. For example, in cereals (wheat, rye, oats, barley, rice) the following phases are distinguished: germination, shoot formation, tillering, stem elongation, ear formation or heading, flowering, grain swelling, and ripening.
