(integrated circuit)(CMOS) A semiconductor fabricationtechnology using a combination of n- and p-doped semiconductormaterial to achieve low power dissipation. Any path througha gate through which current can flow includes both n andp type transistors. Only one type is turned on in anystable state so there is no static power dissipation andcurrent only flows when a gate switches in order to charge theparasitic capacitance.
