(DAS) (dĕ-vel'ŏp-men'tăl ă-prak'sē-ă spēch) Severe articulatory disturbance in childhood characterized by multiple and inconsistent errors in production of voluntary sequences of phonemes, but not due to weakness or spasticity of speech musculature (i.e., not dysarthria).
