Erb point (erb poynt) A point posterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle 2-3 cm above the clavicle, overlying the transverse process of the sixth cervical vertebra and the emergence of cutaneous branches of the cervicle plexus. Erb pointThe point on the side of the neck 2 to 3 cm above the clavicle and in front of the transverse process of the sixth cervical vertebra.
