Driviaty

 

a lake in Vitebsk Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Area, 32.6 sq km; maximum depth, 18 m. Located in the northeast outskirts of the Baltic ridge. Its southern and eastern shores are shallow and marshy; the waters off its northern and western shores are unusually deep. The Driviaty is the source of the Druika River, which is a tributary of the Zapadnaia Dvina. The city of Breslav is located on the lake.
