Borshchev

a city (since 1939); administrative center of Borshchev Raion in Ternopol’ Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. It has a railroad station. Population, 8,600 (1968). There are plants for processing sugar, bottling alcohol, making butter, and curing tobacco, as well as an office supplies factory. A mechanized agriculture technicum is also located there.
