urban-type settlement; administrative center of Borisoglebskii Raion, Yaroslavl Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Ust’e River (Volga basin), 19 km southwest of the Rostov-Iaroslavskii railroad station and 77 km southwest of Yaroslavl. Population, 4,600 (1968). Industry includes starch and cheese plants, a mechanized bakery, and a poultry farm, as well as a construction-materials combine.
