A reactive nonspecific process to various pathogens (e.g., Salmonella, Yersinia, Mycobacterium or immune-mediated insults) as occurs in inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease and peptic disease.
Clinical findings
Generally asymptomatic; self-resolving in children; may be significant in adults.
