Location:15 miles south of San Diego via I-5, Dairy Mart Road, and Monument Road.

Special Features:Located in the extreme southwest corner of the continental UnitedStates, park includes an obelisk set into the border fence that marksthe international boundary established with Mexico by the Treaty ofGuadalupe Hidalgo in 1848. The park contains much of the Tijuana River National Estuarine Reserve, an importantwildlife habitat. The salt and freshwater marshes provide refuge forseveral species of migrating waterfowl and resident wading birds,including the black-necked stilt, avocet, teal, American widgeon, andpelican.
