cardiac nerveAny of the autonomic nerves traveling to the cardiac plexus. The three main sympathetic nerves (superior cardiac nerve, middle cardiac nerve, and inferior cardiac nerve) originate in the superior, middle, and inferior cervical sympathetic ganglia.
