Bombycillidae
Bombycillidae (waxwings), a family of birds of the order Passeriformes. The body is 15–22 cm long and is covered with brownish gray or sandy plumage. The head is crested, the legs are short, and the wings are sharp. There are two genera— Bombycilla and Hypocolius. The latter has one species, H. ampelinus, which is distributed in the semideserts of Southwest Asia and might be encountered as a result of migration, in Turkmenia.
